The Story
Founded by artists Chuey and Peach, Inkora is more than a tattoo studio — it is the latest evolution of a long-standing commitment to artistic expression, creative community, and meaningful design in the heart of Oxford.

Inkora emerges from a deep-rooted history that began over 15 years ago. Its foundation is built on the legacy of ArtStudio.Life, a vibrant creative space established in 2013 on the top floor of the Jericho Community Centre. Before that, the journey began with Studio Diacritic, founded in 2008 in a humble basement at 71 High Street. Each iteration has grown organically, shaped by the artists, clients, and community it served — and now, with our move to Walton Street, we step into our most exciting chapter yet.

Our new home at 33 Walton Street marks a significant shift: from a much-loved grassroots space to a purpose-designed, high-end tattoo studio where creativity and professionalism come together in perfect harmony. While the setting has evolved, the spirit remains unchanged — Inkora carries forward the authenticity, soul, and dedication to craft that defined our early days.
Inkora isn’t just a place to get tattooed — it’s a continuation of a living artistic lineage. It’s a studio where the body becomes a canvas for timeless expression. Every piece we create is designed to reflect the individuality of its wearer, combining meticulous technique with deep personal meaning.

The name Inkora blends Ink — symbolising permanence, creativity, and self-expression — with Ora, a Latin word meaning “edge,” “prayer,” “aura,” or “time.” This fusion encapsulates our philosophy: to create work that exists at the intersection of precision and presence, and to honour every tattoo as both a personal milestone and a work of art.

Inkora is not just a new venture — it's a continuation of a tradition where art, storytelling, and identity converge. And with this new space, we’re proud to welcome both old friends and new faces into the next phase of our journey.
